The team at Maxted-Page and Prill suffered a couple of delays with parts that were ordered from Germany for the engine rebuild, bear in mind that the car needs to be fully built, run in and tested by Stirling by mid-May, so that he is comfortable ahead of racing the RS 61 at Le Mans on the 10th June. Happily the team are back on what is a tight schedule, with the engine bottom-end built up and the cylinder heads ready to go back together by the end of April.
The engine will then be completed and ready for installation by early May. The fire wall and rear chassis have been repaired and re-painted, see the before and after pictures above, and the team are also on the verge of reinstalling the oil and electrical systems. The front suspension is going back together and the brakes will be built back up as soon as the team receive the brake shoes back from being relined. The rear wishbones, see comments last month, are back from being repaired, so the rear suspension can now be reassembled, ready for the dampers, which are due back from Koni by the end of the month.
