Stirling and Susie raised a tremendous £3,077 and for their charity - Hope for Tomorrow - with BBC 2’s Cash in the Celebrity Attic. Christine Mills, the Founder of the charity, was absolutely thrilled "the amount raised will go towards funding more mobile chemotherapy units, which ease the suffering and distance travelled by patients undergoing treatment for cancer by bringing the units into their community". If you would like to increase the total raised a little further, please send us via email the amount that you would like donate to the charity in question to obtain Stirling’s 19th Century Blick Featherweight Typewriter, see images above, which featured in the programme. The amounts submitted must exceed £150 or more, the reserve set by Stirling, which it did not quite reach at auction. The highest amount submitted over £150 will receive the typewriter, and if you are able, we will arrange for you to collect it in person from Sir Stirling himself at his Mayfair home. Use the Contact link at the bottom of the page, putting HOPE in the subject title, to send in an amount, of £150 or more, that you would be willing to donate to the charity to have Sir Stirling’s typewriter. The amount of £150 or more that you are willing to donate to the charity must be submitted by midnight on the 15th March 2010. The highest amount will receive the typewriter, if one or more send in the same highest amount, Stirling will draw the name of the person that receives the typewriter. The person submitting the highest amount will be notified via the email they have given, please ensure that emails received from the Stirling Moss website can clear any junk mail filters. The amount donated must be received by the charity within 10 working days, from the 15th March, before the typewriter can be collected or sent by courier. If you wish to collect the typewriter from Sir Stirling, we will send you the dates when he can hand it over in person. Please note that transport and accommodation costs, where applicable, are at the expense of the person who wishes to collect. If you wish to have the typewriter sent, we will send it by courier, either within the UK or overseas, and advise the tracking number by email. If you do not wish to be contacted by the Stirling Moss website in the future please state no email in the comments box when submitting your amount.
