Stirling will be present at this years 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed, themed Viva Veloce this year in recognition of the contribution made by the Italian automotive and motorsport industry, from Friday afternoon, 2nd July, to the afternoon of Sunday, 4th July. His timetable is laid out below and includes runs up the hill in both modern and historic machinery as well as visits to Porter Press International stand and a public interview.

On Saturday morning he will drive the new Mercedes-Benz SLS super car, the modern successor to the original Gullwing Mercedes, the 300 SL, a car that Stirling owned as well as raced, including the 1956 Tour de France in car #149 where he finished 2nd.

Sky Sports at Goodwood
It was wonderful to see Sir Stirling at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and in such good form after what must have been a long and painful recovery period. I am personally extremely grateful that he was able to join us in our first live broadcast from Goodwood and would therefore like to extend, on behalf of all of us at Sky Sports, our thanks for his patience and help in our first show. Viva Veloce! Keith Huewen (Sky Sports).
