A few weeks ago while Stirling was still bed bound recovering from his broken ankles and foot following his accident, Lotus Cars and Clive Chapman, son of Colin Chapman, the founder of Lotus Cars and Team Lotus, visited his London home.
To mark 50 years since Stirling’s Grand Prix victory at Monaco in 1960, the first Grand Prix win for Colin Chapman and Lotus, automotive historian Johnny Tipler talked to Clive, director of Classic Team Lotus and Stirling. Lotus and Clive also presented Stirling with a memento of that first win. Enjoy this fascinating video as both Stirling and Clive, on behalf of his father, recount their memories of that first Lotus Formula 1 win.
Since this video was filmed you will pleased to know that Stirling is now mobile and building his leg muscle and fitness back up, he will be out racing again in the summer in his OSCA.

Good to see you on the track again...
Hi Mr. Stirling Moss, I'm from Argentina the same placeland of Fangio, and always followed your career through the TV and internet, you ever win, and I would like to pride for your soon recuperation, and God bless you. You're a Great Leyens like Juan Manuel Fangio, the heroes like you never died.

Stirling and Colin Chapman
God speed your recovery Stirling! Seeing you with Colin's son I have to get you to see some of my Father's pics from 50/60s.
I have a signed Birthday Card from you on our lounge wall, a sketch by Michael Turner of Yourself with Tony Brooks,a Vanwall at Aintree! Looking at Colin with all Lotus F1 drivers at many races, Maurice has sorted dozens of fab shots that he would like you to see for old time's and of interest to so many.
Artist Michael Turner still keeps in touch, sadly Geoff Goddard has gone from us RE:Road and Track and Autosport and a personal favourite photographer and friend.
Best
