Sir Stirling Moss began building his dream house in the middle of Mayfair in the early 1960's.  Complete with the, then, state of the art gadgets his home to this day has the feel of a ultra modern property.  Sir Stirling along with his architect, Eric Ambrose, designed and built this relatively small house (25ft frontage), with four floors and combined the latest gadgets from around the world.  Moss wanted to make life all the more relaxing for whenever he and his now wife Lady Susie return from their hectic super star lifestyles.

Moss's household gadgets include:

  • Automatic opening & closing beam sensored garage door

  • Closed circuit CCTV with audio unit

  • A lift with the ability to stop off at any of the four floors

  • The hub of all electrical devices is a gadget based in the bedroom which enables him to; open & close the curtains, fill and empty the bath and even control the temperature of the water, lower or raise the TV, switch on a sunbed, raise and lower the wardrobe shutters, turn on the stereo system, and control the on-suite refridgerator.

  • A sunken kitchen work station that can be raised level with the rest of the work tops in the room when required.

  • Possibly the most fun when visiting his home; the heated loo seats!
