The Moss's Join the Smart Set

Stirling Moss has always been a fan of innovative architecture. His current home in London’s Mayfair, which he built on land reclaimed after the blitz, is a model of James Bond inspired design, complete with master control panels, descending tables and a host of other labour saving gadgets – we are still looking for the button that catapults unlucky guests from their chairs into a fiery pit!

Stirling Moss helps to save lives
A partnership to save lives on the roads was launched in July with the backing of Stirling Moss.
Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service and Auto-Rescue Logistics (ARL) have joined forces. The partnership encompasses the use of ARL's heavy rescue vehicles and teams at road traffic collisions. The teams will be used on a voluntary basis to aid road traffic collision casualties.
The aim of the partnership is to save lives, limit the extent of serious injuries and to clear roads and motorways in less time and more efficiently.

"I am really sorry to hear of the passing of my old friend, Phil Hill.
Phil was a very versatile driver and particularly good in sports cars. He was also, of course, the first American to win the Formula One World Championship."The motor racing world has lost a great ambassador who was also a very great enthusiast. I have nothing but good memories of Phil and Susie and I will miss him very much. Our love goes out to Alma and their family."

Retromobile, Paris: Sir Stirling Moss purchased an amazing Officina Specializzata Costruzione Automobili Maserati or OSCA for short. Today he updates us on its restoration progress.
“I tested my OSCA today and it was fantastic. Rick Hall has done all the work and has transformed it from the bunch of bits that I bought in Paris – he has even got its unique dsomodromic valve head working”. Moss continues, “In testing the car handled so well that apart from alterations to the controls and a few tweaks, it is ready to race at Spa next month!”

As well as being interviewed and meeting fans Stirling Moss was there to sign his scrapbooks on the Porter Press International stand.
