Best Wishes to Hunter Abbott
24 March: British GT4 Championship Driver, Hunter Abbott is recuperating from injuries sustained during a terrifying crash, which occurred just 10 minutes into the first race of the season at Oulton Park.
While negotiating the Cheshire circuit’s tricky S-bend ‘The Cascades’ at over 100mph, it is thought that Hunter collided with another competitor, causing his £50,000 Ginetta G50 to spin off the track and spectacularly burst into flames. Horrified spectators were relieved when the Driver was able to walk-away from the inferno.
Stirling Moss would like to pass his very best wishes for a speedy recovery to Hunter.

Plane Crash Claims Two Racing Lives
Stirling Moss would like to express his condolences to the families of Richard Lloyd (63) and David Leslie (55) who were tragically killed in a plane crash while en-route to a test drive.
Discussing the accident, Stirling said, “Richard Lloyd was a great man, we go back a long way - it’s a tragic accident and a great loss”.

Q: What are your thoughts on the changes to the ‘Sporting and Technical Regulations’ that have been made by FIA for the 2008 season?
A: I am so glad that traction control has been removed as it gives the drivers greater control over their cars, I can’t wait for future mechanical changes in the sport.
Q: Who do you think will claim the World Championship this season?
A: I still believe that Lewis Hamilton is going to win this year.

His current home in London’s Mayfair, which he built on land reclaimed after the blitz, is a model of James Bond inspired design, complete with master control panels, descending tables and a host of other labour saving gadgets – we are still looking for the button that catapults unlucky guests from their chairs into a fiery pit!
